Bu ders kapsamında; genel patoloji, patolojinin tanımı ve patolojide kullanılan yöntem ve teknikler, patolojik terminoloji, hücre patolojileri, inflamasyon, rejenerasyon, hücresel zedelenme ve adaptasyon mekanizmaları, nekroz ve apoptoz, dolaşım patolojileri, şok, sistemik patolojiler, ödem, akut ve kronik inflamasyon, yara iyileşmesi, immunopatoloji, genetik hastalıkların patolojisi, kemik, neoplazi, displazi, hiperplazi, hipertrofi, selim ve habis tümörler, karsinom, sarkom, tümör gelişimleri ve aşamaları, eklem ve yumuşak doku patolojileri, periferik sinir ve iskelet kası patolojileri, santral sinir sistemi hastalıkları, hemodinamik bozukluklar konularına yer verilmiştir.
