Dersin Amacı Dersin amacı, ortopedi, nöroşirurji ve kadın hastalıkları ve doğum alanında sıklıkla görülen hastalıklarla ilgili temel düzeyde teorik bilgi sahibi olunması, hastalığa yönelik değerlendirme ve tedavi seçenekleri ile ilgili temel bilgilerin öğretilmesidir.

Bu ders kapsamında; kalça ekleminde görülen ortopedik problemlerin değerlendirmesi ve tedavisi, diz ekleminde görülen ortopedik problemlerin değerlendirmesi ve tedavisi, ayak bileği ekleminde ve ayakta görülen ortopedik problemlerin değerlendirmesi ve tedavisi, omurgada görülen ortopedik problemlerin değerlendirmesi ve tedavisi, üst ekstremitede görülen ortopedik problemlerin değerlendirmesi ve tedavisi, gebelik fizyolojisi ve doğum, inkontinans, inkontinans cerrahileri, servikal ve lumbal disk hernileri, kafa travmaları ve intrakranial tümörler, spinal travmalar ve spinal tümörler, hidrosefaliler, konjenital ve gelişimsel santral sinir sistemi anomalileri, üst batın cerrahisi, açık kalp ameliyatları, akciğer ameliyatları, alt batın cerrahisi, damar cerrahisi (KABG), damar yaralanmaları, fistüller, anevrizmektomi, solunum arresti (kardiyak arrest ve resustasyon), preop tanı yöntemleri ve hastanın operasyona hazırlanması, postop komplikasyonlar, postop risk faktörleri ve cerrahi enfeksiyonlar konularına yer verilmiştir.
